First release
This is ProjectLog. I started working on ProjectLog somewhere around November 2022, like many other tools, because of a frustration I encountered while I was working on a personal side project.
It started out as a scratchpad. A place where I could jot down notes and ideas I had about the project I was working on. But a scratchpad is not what I really needed. I needed something what could also keep track of bugs in a tangible way. Something that could hold my ideas and brainfarts I'm having while testing out features and just playing the game.
So I split it into a task list and a devlog. The task list is a short-sentenced bullet list to keep track of things. The devlog is where you can keep a diary of the things you work on. Elaborate on ideas. Make notes of that story beat where the princess bites off the head of a bat.
ProjectLog keeps your stuff and your focus inside Unity, inside your project. Where you have direct access to them while you are working on your project and don't get distracted by going to another window and lose your train of thought.
It uses serialised scriptable objects to store everything. So if you are working in a small team, you can push it over git (or your versioning service of choice) and the whole team is instantly up to date.
I hope you will enjoy using it and find it as useful as I do. Please leave any comment or feedback in the comments below. I love hearing about your ideas and how I can make this project even better.
Cheers!
